This knot work is based on a design found from the Hiddensee Hoard in 1873.
The design dates from the tenth century and the original was probably from Denmark.
This piece was found on a very large and ornate necklace that featured these spacers set between ten massive Thor's Hammers made of solid gold!
It is thought that the original artifact was a possession of the Danish King Herald Bluetooth around the Tenth Century.
You can use the replicas of the hammers that were part of this necklace to recreate the gold necklace that was found in the hoard. It contained 6 of the EXTRA LARGE HIDDENSEE HAMMER pendants, 4 of the HIDDENSEE PENDANT, and 4 of these spacers.
